HOW TO BECOME IRREPLACEABLE

What is the meaning of irreplaceable?
I was sitting under a tree one day when this word suddenly bumped into my head, “irreplaceable.” I have heard so many people use this word in conversation. One particular period people use the word “irreplaceable” is when a prominent person or a loved one dies. You may hear them say, “You were truly a friend to all of us, no one can show kindness and love to us, the way you did. You are simply, irreplaceable.”
What is the meaning of the word “irreplaceable”? It simply means,
• that cannot be replaced
• impossible to replace
• not able to be replaced
• too good or rare to be able to be replaced if lost or damaged
Are you irreplaceable?
Can it be said that you are irreplaceable? Are you a person who cannot be replaced? Are you impossible to replace in that office, or that place? Are you too good or rare to be able to be replaced if you are no more there?
An irreplaceable person is unique, priceless, invaluable, indispensable, inimitable, unrivaled, matchless, exceptional, nonpareil, extremely useful…the list can go on and on. The question is, can you use any of these adjectives to describe yourself? You know better than I do, so answer it for yourself. If you find yourself exhibiting any of these attributes, then I would say, “Keep the fire burning!” But if you cannot describe yourself with any of these, then all is not lost. You can also become irreplaceable. You only need the correct ingredients to become irreplaceable.
How does one become irreplaceable?
In order to be irreplaceable,
• You must be different.
• Believe in yourself.
• Think outside the box.
• Create your own path, and walk on it.
• Stand for what you believe, no matter what.
Being different is separating yourself from others. When people listen to your music, let them see yours as different. Dance differently, talk differently, eat differently, drink differently, argue differently; do every normal thing in a different way. Be distinct!
Believing in yourself can also make you irreplaceable. You are here on earth for a purpose. You are not here just to make up the number; you are on this earth to make a mark. You must make an indelible mark, so that, even after you are dead, people can still remember you. Have faith in yourself. Be sure that you are capable of a particular action. You should be able to form an opinion of your own. You don’t always have to consult others before you take a decision.
You must think outside the box. Thinking outside the box means, to think differently, unconventionally, or from a new perspective. You must look further and try not to think of the obvious things, but to try to look beyond them. You must acknowledge and reject the accepted paradigm, and come up with new ideas.
To be irreplaceable, you must create your own path. You don’t have to walk on the path everyone is walking on. Create your own path for others to walk on. Be someone that others can look up to, when they are in distress. You don’t have to live your life to please others. If you don’t like what you are doing, change it. Create your own source of happiness. The fact that all members of your family enjoy playing football does not mean you should also play football. If you find happiness in watching instead of playing football, do it. After all, you also have the right to be happy.
Stand for what you believe, so that you can be irreplaceable. If you don’t stand for one thing, you will fall for everything. Stand up for what is right, even if you are the only one standing for it. Don’t do things just because you are being pressured. If you don’t stand up for what you believe in, you’ll end up following everybody else’s opinions, hence making you common and boring.
The only person who has been with you from the time you were born to now, is you. Probably, you know yourself more than anyone does. Be yourself, be real and be you!
